The Sleeve Notes
The fine print, in plain English

Affiliate disclosure

The Sleeve Notes is free to read because some of our links earn a commission. Here’s exactly how that works, and the line we won’t cross.

How we earn

When you click a “buy” link on this site and go on to make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as if you’d gone there directly.

  • eBay — as a member of the eBay Partner Network, we earn from qualifying purchases.
  • Amazon — as an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Affiliate links are marked up as rel="sponsored" in the page’s HTML, in line with search-engine guidelines.

The line we won’t cross

Commission never decides what we recommend. We routinely point readers to a cheap original over a more profitable reissue, to a rival retailer with a better price, or to “don’t bother, wait for a clean copy.” If a recommendation and a payout ever conflict, the recommendation wins. That independence is the only reason this site is worth reading.

We recommend the pressing we’d buy ourselves — then show you where it’s cheapest, whoever that happens to be.

Prices and availability

Prices shown are the best we found when the page was last checked (the date is on every page). They change constantly. Always confirm the current price on the retailer’s site before buying.

Questions about how we’re funded, or think a link is steering you wrong? Tell the desk — we’ll answer plainly.
